Deep within the halls and labs deep within The Pyramid, The Shadow traps the travelers, and Atrius within its polygonal walls to find a cure for the never ending visions The Artist had been suffering. only to come across the creature Atrius set free, The Shadow standing before the group, a battle ensuing. Atrius being taken into the grasp of The Shadow to where it begins to erase Atrius from reality. still awakening from its thousand year slumber, the Shadow is interrupted by the Artist, taking the barely conscious Atrius in his arms, and facing the shadow with a newfound anger burning in The Artist's Hearts.

Hidden within a black sphere
Visions fading
Mind is breaking
With a blast from the Shadow's body, energy shackles the travelers to the ground, their son now in the grip of the beast
Without a way to break free the travelers plead for their son to be unharmed, but the Shadow has its own plans. Placing a hand to Atrius' chest, the young god is put in overwhelming amounts of agony, feeling his very soul being torn asunder.
The marking on his chest slowly fading to black, as his life force is being removed. But before the final blow to the young one's soul, the artist manages to break free of his shackles, throwing back the Shadow, and letting Atrius go. Running to his son, picking him up in his arms, looking down upon the barely conscious child, he realizes just what the Shadow is.
For all of life I have seen many things, but nothing as evil as you. I had faith I could cure whatever darkness led you on this path, but now I see you won't be saved.

I must do what it takes to save our son
there's no nowhere for you to run
Now you’re looking for some way out
You stand no chance, ill be your end
We will fight
To fulfil the promise to our son
